Clock records arrive automatically
As employees clock in and out, records are captured in Opyris. Scheduled hours and actual clock times appear side by side for each shift and each employee.
Exceptions are surfaced for review
Missed clock-outs, early arrivals outside the allowed window, and hours that exceed thresholds are flagged. Managers review and correct before payroll closes.
Labour costs are calculated
Wage rates, holiday pay rules, and overtime settings combine with reviewed hours to produce labour cost totals for the period. Budget vs. actual comparisons are available.
Lock the period and export
When the manager is satisfied, the payroll period is locked to preserve the approved snapshot. A CSV export is downloaded and provided to your payroll provider.

No. Opyris prepares payroll-ready data and exports it as a CSV. It does not process payroll and does not replace your payroll provider (e.g., Ceridian, ADP, Payworks, or your accountant).
What format is the CSV export in?
The CSV export includes reviewed hours per employee, with clock times, scheduled hours, approved corrections, and labour cost calculations based on your wage settings. Format and column structure are designed for use with standard Canadian payroll providers.
What happens when I lock a payroll period?
Locking preserves the approved snapshot of hours and costs for that period. Locked periods cannot be changed without manager action. This creates a clear audit trail for each pay period.
Can I correct a missed clock-out before exporting?
Yes. Missed clock-outs are flagged as exceptions. The manager enters the correct clock-out time. The corrected hours are then included in the export.
